Video Installation

This video focuses on the deconstruction and the brokenness of my family. I didn’t grow up in a perfect home and my family always had issues. The image comes through in fragments and even those fragments are broken. Yet there is still a unifying sense of love that comes across as we all try to be happy for my youngest siblings. I captured these abstract moments trying to hold on to this memory before it disappears entirely. The final video was projected onto 3 pieces of plexiglass hung from the ceiling to bring the notion of fragmentation into the physical space.
